Barangay Casit-an

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Casit-an is one of the administrative divisions of Libacao in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Casit-an had a population of 349. This made it the 24th largest of 24 barangays in Libacao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Casit-an accounted for approximately 1.23% of the total population of Libacao, which stood at 28,272 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Casit-an changed from 352 to 349, a shift of -0.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Libacao. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Casit-an as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Libacao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Casit-an, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Aklan, which contains 327 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Casit-an ranks 316th by 2020 population.
