Barangay Malungon Gamay

Barangay Malungon Gamay forms part of Malungon, a municipality in Sarangani, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

This made it the 13th largest of 31 barangays in Malungon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Malungon Gamay changed from 2,963 to 2,895, a shift of -2.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Malungon. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malungon Gamay as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malungon is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malungon Gamay, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
