Barangay Nagpan

Situated in Malungon, Sarangani, Barangay Nagpan is one of 31 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Nagpan had a population of 3,497. This made it the 9th largest of 31 barangays in Malungon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nagpan accounted for approximately 3.32% of the total population of Malungon, which stood at 105,465 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nagpan changed from 3,298 to 3,497, a shift of +6.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Malungon. Barangay Nagpan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Malungon is a municipality comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nagpan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Sarangani, which contains 141 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Nagpan ranks 57th by 2020 population.
