Barangay Badiangan

Situated in Mina, Iloilo, Barangay Badiangan is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Badiangan had a population of 2,072. This made it the 2nd largest of 22 barangays in Mina by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Badiangan accounted for approximately 8.62% of the total population of Mina, which stood at 24,042 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Badiangan changed from 1,816 to 2,072, a shift of +14.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Mina. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Badiangan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mina is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Badiangan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
