Barangay Cabalabaguan

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Cabalabaguan is one of the administrative divisions of Mina in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cabalabaguan had a population of 2,229. This made it the 1st largest of 22 barangays in Mina by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cabalabaguan accounted for approximately 9.27% of the total population of Mina, which stood at 24,042 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Cabalabaguan changed from 2,062 to 2,229, a shift of +8.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Mina. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Cabalabaguan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mina is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Cabalabaguan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Cabalabaguan ranks 214th by 2020 population.
