Barangay Dala

Situated in Mina, Iloilo, Barangay Dala is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Dala had a population of 1,069. This made it the 11th largest of 22 barangays in Mina by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dala accounted for approximately 4.45% of the total population of Mina, which stood at 24,042 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dala changed from 1,203 to 1,069, a shift of -11.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Mina. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dala as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mina is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dala, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Iloilo, which contains 1,901 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dala ranks 714th by 2020 population.
