Barangay Bagbag

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Bagbag is one of the administrative divisions of Solsona in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bagbag had a population of 671. This made it the 19th largest of 22 barangays in Solsona by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bagbag accounted for approximately 2.70% of the total population of Solsona, which stood at 24,851 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 637 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 671 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Bagbag as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Solsona is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bagbag, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
