Barangay Manalpac

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Manalpac is one of the administrative divisions of Solsona in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Manalpac had a population of 2,130. This made it the 2nd largest of 22 barangays in Solsona by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manalpac accounted for approximately 8.57% of the total population of Solsona, which stood at 24,851 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Manalpac changed from 2,093 to 2,130, a shift of +1.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Solsona. Barangay Manalpac is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Solsona is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manalpac, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Ilocos Norte, which contains 559 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Manalpac ranks 33rd by 2020 population.
