Barangay Juan (Pob.)

Barangay Juan (Pob.) forms part of Solsona, a municipality in Ilocos Norte, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Juan (Pob.) had a population of 2,402. This made it the 1st largest of 22 barangays in Solsona by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Juan (Pob.) accounted for approximately 9.67% of the total population of Solsona, which stood at 24,851 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Juan (Pob.) changed from 2,376 to 2,402, a shift of +1.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Solsona. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Juan (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Solsona is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Juan (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
