Barangay Darasdas

Situated in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Darasdas is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Darasdas had a population of 1,480. This made it the 3rd largest of 22 barangays in Solsona by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Darasdas accounted for approximately 5.96% of the total population of Solsona, which stood at 24,851 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Darasdas changed from 1,474 to 1,480, a shift of +0.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Solsona. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Darasdas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
