Barangay Lipay

Situated in Solsona, Ilocos Norte, Barangay Lipay is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Ilocos Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lipay had a population of 354. This made it the 21st largest of 22 barangays in Solsona by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lipay accounted for approximately 1.42% of the total population of Solsona, which stood at 24,851 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Lipay changed from 343 to 354, a shift of +3.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Solsona. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lipay as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
