Barangay Colonia

Barangay Colonia forms part of City of Valencia, a city in Bukidnon, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Colonia had a population of 3,260. This made it the 22nd largest of 31 barangays in City of Valencia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Colonia accounted for approximately 1.51% of the total population of City of Valencia, which stood at 216,546 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,065 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,260 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Colonia is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

City of Valencia is a city comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Colonia, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Colonia ranks 146th by 2020 population.
