Barangay Kahapunan

Barangay Kahapunan is a large barangay in the City of Valencia, located in the province of Bukidnon, in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Kahapunan had a population of 6,604. This made it the 13th largest of 31 barangays in City of Valencia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Kahapunan accounted for approximately 3.05% of the total population of City of Valencia, which stood at 216,546 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Kahapunan changed from 6,400 to 6,604, a shift of +3.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in City of Valencia. Barangay Kahapunan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

City of Valencia is a city comprising 31 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Kahapunan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bukidnon, which contains 464 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Kahapunan ranks 58th by 2020 population. Bukidnon is classified as a 1st by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
