Barangay Manayupit

Situated in Ma-Ayon, Capiz, Barangay Manayupit is one of 32 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Manayupit had a population of 1,169. This made it the 19th largest of 32 barangays in Ma-Ayon by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Manayupit accounted for approximately 2.84% of the total population of Ma-Ayon, which stood at 41,226 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Manayupit changed from 996 to 1,169, a shift of +17.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Ma-Ayon. Barangay Manayupit is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Ma-Ayon is a municipality comprising 32 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Manayupit, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
