Barangay West Villaflores

Barangay West Villaflores is a small barangay in the municipality of Ma-Ayon, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay West Villaflores had a population of 1,535. This made it the 10th largest of 32 barangays in Ma-Ayon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay West Villaflores accounted for approximately 3.72% of the total population of Ma-Ayon, which stood at 41,226 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay West Villaflores moving from 1,395 residents to 1,535 residents, an intercensal change of +10.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay West Villaflores as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
