Barangay Naumuan

Situated in Mina, Iloilo, Barangay Naumuan is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Naumuan had a population of 456. This made it the 20th largest of 22 barangays in Mina by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Naumuan accounted for approximately 1.90% of the total population of Mina, which stood at 24,042 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 439 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 456 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +3.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Naumuan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mina is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Naumuan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
